As
long as there's injustice in the system, there's no way for people not to
become militant, and vigilant. Want some proof of injustice?
1. There exists a massive poverty around the world because of the corrupt
bureaucratic capitalism. The poor becomes poorer, and the rich becomes richer.
2. There exists a high percentage of forced and child labor. Also,
laborers are consistently abused with their rights such as the right for a safe
workplace, satisfactory minimum wage, and especially the right to organize
through their unions. In recent times, laborers' assurance on their jobs is
continuously exacerbated because of contractualization. Therefore, it is a call
for the people to be with the laborers' struggle in scrapping
contractualization.
3.
There is a pseudo-existence of gender emancipation worldwide. In status quo,
the current patriarchal society does not fully accept the existence of LGBT.
4. Women are still victims of harassment, and discrimination. For example, most
corporations give women lesser privileges in their jobs because these
corporations see women as feeble people of the society.
5. Free and accessible education is still barred in the system. Why can't
education be free after all? It's as clear as water that education is a right,
as also declared in the UN Bill of Rights.
6. There are still no genuine land reforms for the farmers. Hello, CARPER. Push
GARB instead! In addition, farmers are also the victims of human rights
violations. Who would forget the incidence of Hacienda Luisita Massacre? Hi,
Cojuanco-Aquino Clan.
7. Indigenous people are always the victims of harassment and human rights
violations. Under the Aquino Administration, Lumads in Mindanao are in major
harassment due to the illegal entry of military camps in their schools (and
yes, DepEd ordered for closure of some schools in Mindanao to give way for the
military camps). That's a quite hillarious move, ladies and gentlemen. Oh wait,
this is also part of Aquino's counterinsurgency, Oplan Bayanihan. So we call to
completely scrap counterinsurgency programs for a genuine sovereignty and
patrimony of the people.
8. There still exists counterinsurgency programs such as Aquino's Oplan
Bayanihan (as I've mentioned above) that causes mass killings among us,
progressive and militant activists including the journalists that convey facts
on the omophagous system, simply because the government sees these militants as
a threat to their own making-the-poor-poorest system. Very fascist state,
indeed. Are we that so desperate in maintaining the status quo in the state?
And with this, it causes timeless bloodshed.
9. Mainstream media predominate the existence of news and information to serve
as watchdogs of the fascist, imperialist state, and of the business tycoons
that continuously abuse and trample people. Through mainstream media, it
teaches the youth to become narcissistic, and individualistic instead of
transforming the youth into something that maintains social justice. We are
continuously brainwashed by the shows being aired on TV through nonsensical
entertainments such as Vice Ganda's show, and Pinoy Big Brother. Literally, it's
indirectly promoting a society with full of lumpen youth. Thus, it's a great
challenge for the youth, especially to the ones who read this, to use social
media in disseminating information that are not televised by the mainstream
media 24/7.
10.
There still exists neoliberal policies that continuously promote the 9-point
stigma of the society mentioned above.
These
are just, perhaps, the major proof of social injustice. If we immerse ourselves
to the situation of the Plebeians, the so-called common people, we'll be able
to see all the roots of these injustices. It is indeed grassroot representation
that will be of great help in liberating the society. There's no reason for
people to become conservative with the fights, because the system is already harassing
and killing the people. Our enemy in this game is the system. As the cliche
goes, if you choose to become neutral, you're automatically choosing the side
of the oppressors. So what will you choose?
Let's
choose to get enlightened by these facts, agitate ourselves, organize movements
and propaganda, and mobilize people and communities. It is because we are all
victims here.
Bottomline,
fight. This struggle may take decades or centuries, but the most important
thing is that you have made a contribution to the history of this struggle.#
